Ni-Cd Battery

Nickel-cadmium (NiCad) UPS batteries. NiCad batteries are a good choice for Industrial UPS applications in locations with very high ambient temperatures. They have a 20-year design life and are extremely tolerant of deep discharges. The downside is the price point; NiCad batteries are expensive. They also contain toxic materials, which presents some safety concerns and complicates the disposal and recycling process.

Ni-Cd battery has the properties of rigid construction, long service life, wide work temperature, resistance to overcharge and over-discharge, low self-discharge, high reliability, and easy maintenance. They are widely used as DC power sources for railway vehicles, rolling stocks, petrochemicals, oil and gas, electricity industries, electrical appliances, telecommunications, UPS, military, AGV, electric power systems, wind and solar energy storage systems, etc.

Ni-Cd batteries are valued for their exceptional durability and resilience in harsh industrial UPS environments. With proper care, they typically achieve a lifespan of 15 to 25 years in continuous operation.
