The Hannibal HMR Series is a family of modular rectifiers and battery chargers that deliver stabilized direct current through high-frequency commutated (IGBT) switch-mode modules. Each system is built from one or more hot-swappable rectifier modules plus a monitoring module, so total power scales simply by adding modules — a compact, high-power-density solution for communication and industrial power systems that need a reliable, uninterrupted DC supply.
Available in 24VDC, 48VDC, 110VDC, 125VDC and 220–240VDC, every HMR system covers 25A to 100A and operates in an N+1 redundant, hot-swappable configuration: a single module can be replaced live without interrupting the load, maximising availability and minimising mean time to repair (MTTR). Peak efficiency exceeds 96%, reducing energy losses and operating costs, while fully digital control lowers component count and lifts reliability to an MTBF above 300,000 hours.
Designed for harsh and remote environments, HMR modules support a wide input voltage range, a wide operating temperature window (down to -40°C and up to +75°C with de-rating), temperature-compensated battery charging of VRLA lead-acid batteries, a built-in battery test function and intelligent battery management. A user-friendly front-panel HMI handles all settings and calibrations, and extensive remote monitoring is available over RS485, TCP/IP, SNMP, GSM, Ethernet, serial port and dry contacts.
